Courageous Leadership for a Courageous Democracy Launches in Los Angeles, CA with Approximately 250 Junior State of America Students

Last week we conducted our first Courageous Leadership for a Courageous Democracy training for approximately 250 high school students from Junior State of America. At the Galen Center on USC's campus in Los Angeles, CA, students learned how to have open-hearted, open-minded conversation across cultural and political difference, and joined a Civic Action Cohort to practice their skills and take courageous action in their communities. Their courageous participation and wisdom gives us great hope for the future of this country! Deep gratitude to JSA's ongoing commitment to student leadership and civic participation, Kip Morales for leading the Civic Action Project, USC for donating the Galen Center, and to the foundation who funded our program.
